The 11th edition of PALMEX Indonesia 2019 is the only specialized Palm Oil event in Asia that brings together an international congregation of both upstream and downstream palm oil companies and also its supporting industries gathered in the capital city of North Sumatera, Medan to showcase the latest developments in the palm oil industry. North Sumatera, home to one of Indonesia’s largest concentration of oil palm plantations and also the presence of many supporting facilities such as palm oil processing plants making its capital Medan the perfect venue for the show. Palmex Indonesia 2019 will be held on 8-10 October 2019 in Santika Hotel & Convention, Medan, Indonesia.
One of the programs that is going to be held in conjunction with the Palmex Indonesia 2019 exhibition is “Indonesia International Palm Oil Conference (IIPOC) 2019”, The largest international conference for the palm oil industry featured various domestic and foreign speakers who are competent in their fields. Some of the speakers are Ir. Gulat ME Manurung, MP as the Chairman of Indonesia Palm Oil Smallholder’s Association (APKASINDO) and Dr. Suroso Rahutama as Deputy Director of Research of Indonesian Oil Palm Research Institute (IOPRI). The theme of IIPOC 2019 is “Industrial Revolution 4.0 in The Palm Oil Industry.”
Industrial system 4.0 is considered to be beneficial for the manufacturing sector, it increases efficiency and reducing production costs by 12-15 percent. “The development of R&D in the future is directed at efforts to make national industries actively carry out technological innovations in order to transform and implement industry 4.0 systems in their production processes,” said Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto at the Inauguration of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry and Head of the Industrial Research and Development Agency (BPPI) in Jakarta , Monday (6/19), As stated on the Press Release by The Ministry of The Industry.
To support the Industrial Revolution in Palm Oil Industry, the 11th Palmex Indonesia 2019 will provide a special area designated for unique innovations in the Palm Oil Industry. Some of participating companies are Indonesian Oil Palm Research Institute (IOPRI), Institut Teknologi dan Sains Bandung (ITSB), PT Seriyus Hutama, and Indonesia Palm Oil Smallholder’s Association (DPP Apkasindo).
